Recent Call of Duty leaks claims to have revealed to players multiplayer maps from Modern Warfare 2 with the release of the 2022 game drawing near.

Although Vanguard still has some time left in its life cycle, many gamers are eagerly anticipating Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare 2, which will launch on October 28.

Many aspects of the plot and the characters are already known to us, but multiplayer maps have eluded us. So far, at least.

The multiple leaks are ambiguous and may refer to different elements of these potential next games, including weaponry, perks, and more. However, it appears that certain maps for MW2 have surfaced, hinting at its multiplayer and the settings in which players could find themselves.

Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer maps leaked

Recently, a well-known leaker by the name of MW2 News + Leaks published several photos, all of which were said to be maps potentially from the next Modern Warfare 2.

In terms of the multiplayer maps, we have already seen several examples from the leaks, such as the Grand Prix map, which is said to contain two different fighting modes. A museum, a town centre, an oil field, and even an “Esports Gym” are among the locations used in the other games.

In addition to the MW2 leaks, there is also a thread of leaks that even stated they will reveal the first images of Treyarch’s upcoming game, which won’t be released until 2024. The maps, supposedly titled Stealth and Pillage, provide the first accurate look at what comes after Black Ops Cold War. Treyarch has been given an extra year to work on their 2024 instalment after being pushed to create that 2020 game.

The leaks were only present on Twitter for a short period before being taken down; it is uncertain if this was because they violated copyright.

Naturally, until Infinity Ward, Treyarch, or Activision provide formal confirmation, these maps remain unverified. Even if leaks originate straight from game files, a lot can change throughout the production process and they may be inaccurate.
