Leeds United could look to spend "a few quid" on a new striker this summer, claims Sky Sports reporter Tim Thornton.

As well as that, Thornton also expects Andrea Radrizzani to buy a midfielder and a potential replacement for Raphinha on the wing.

Leeds look likely to bring in a new midfielder this transfer window, with RB Leipzig's Tyler Adams closing in on a move to Elland Road.

According to the reliable Fabrizio Romano, the American is set to undergo a medical this week ahead of a £20m switch to Jesse Marsch's side.

Should that deal be completed, Adams would be Leeds' fifth signing of the summer following the arrivals of Darko Gyabi, Brenden Aaronson, Rasmus Kristensen and Marc Roca.

It has undoubtedly been a productive window for the Whites, though they have lost Kalvin Phillips, who recently completed a £45m move to Manchester City.

What has Thornton said about Leeds' transfer plans?

Thornton does not think Leeds will stop with Adams, telling GIVEMESPORT that they could also look to sign a new striker and winger before the transfer market closes.

Speaking to GMS, the Sky Sports reporter said: "I think they'll sign three players. They'll sign a midfield player, they'll sign a winger if Raphinha goes and they'll probably look to spend a few quid on a striker as well."

One forward who Leeds are currently being linked with is Club Brugge's Charles De Ketelaere.

According to 90min, both the Whites and their Premier League rivals Leicester City are interested in signing the 21-year-old, who could cost €40m (£34m).

He excelled in Belgium last season, scoring 18 goals and providing 10 assists in all competitions (via Transfermarkt).

De Ketelaere is not a traditional centre-forward, but he is capable of leading his side's attack. In the 2021/22 campaign, the Belgium international played up front on 30 occasions for Club Brugge, while he was also utilised as a second striker at times.

All in all, he could be a good signing for Leeds, especially with the Premier League outfit in desperate need of another goalscorer.

Patrick Bamford spent the majority of last term sidelined due to injury, which really exposed Leeds' lack of firepower.

Be it De Ketelaere or someone else, Marsch could really do with another forward coming in this summer to support the England international.
