Conor McGregor has teased his rival Khabib Nurmagomedov following the latter’s induction into the UFC Hall of Fame.

Last Thursday, as part of the UFC Hall of Fame induction ceremony, Khabib Nurmagomedov was honoured as one of the latest inductees alongside his friend and long-time training partner Daniel Cormier.

The rise of Khabib has been well documented throughout the course of the last few years, but it’s worth repeating that this is a man who is widely considered to be one of the greatest fighters of all-time. He’s been able to turn back some of the very best lightweights of his era and while he may have retired earlier than most would’ve expected, his legacy still speaks for itself.

Of course, his surge to prominence really began when he started to get into the title picture - which is where Conor McGregor was residing.

It became evident pretty quickly that these two individuals didn’t like one another and ever since then, they’ve become part of each other’s respective mixed martial arts stories.

Following on from last week’s induction, McGregor decided to take to social media and point out a funny coincidence that occurred during Khabib’s speech.

“Proper Twelve, proud maker of the ufc hof show! Call me The HOFF @properwhiskey”

If you’re wondering whether these two are ever going to kiss and make up, we’d say the evidence suggests it’s unlikely.

What happened when they fought?

After months and months of turbulence, including the infamous bus incident, McGregor and Khabib were finally booked to face one another at UFC 229 in Las Vegas.

The event went on to become the biggest in UFC history and one of the biggest combat sports events ever.

Conor had a few nice moments in the bout but largely, it was dominated by ‘The Eagle’ as he submitted the Irishman before kickstarting an unbelievable riot between members of both camps.

We’ve all been wondering whether or not there would be a rematch down the line but with McGregor looking at welterweight and Nurmagomedov being happily retired, it’s probably going to be a one and done kind of feud.
