New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning is one of the best in the NFL today. Some may even as go as far as say he is elite. Although some may disagree, you can't deny the fact he has won two Super Bowls and has been selected to four Pro Bowls as well.

In week four, he will go up against the Minnesota Vikings who, despite the loss of starting quarterback Teddy Bridgewater and running back Adrian Peterson, are sitting on a 3-0 record after wins against the Tennessee Titans, Green Bay Packers, and the Carolina Panthers thanks to large part of their impressive defense.

The Vikings defense has been one of the best defenses in the league so far, and will be a tough test for Manning next Monday night. However, Minnesota has always been a bit of a bogey team for the 35-year-old throughout his 13-year career in the league according to an interesting stat line.

Reddit user messed_up_marionette said in a recent post on the NFL Reddit page: "Thus far in his career, Eli Manning has faced the Minnesota Vikings 8 times. In those games, he has thrown 5 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. Of those interceptions, 5 have been returned for a touchdown, the most by any team that he has played against."

Manning has averaged just under two interceptions per game every time he has played against the Vikings in his career, with a percentage of them being returned for touchdowns as well.

However, since Ben McAdoo became offensive coordinator and now head coach of the Giants, Eli's interceptions per season have gone down. Over the past two years, he's only had one more interception than what he did during the entire 2013 season (14 interceptions in 2014 and 2015, 27 in 2013 alone).

Maybe the trend won't continue because of this, but in the same time period, Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer has transformed his team's defense into a powerful force. The two could end up cancelling each other out, which means Manning is in for a horrible game come next Monday night, and could possibly throw a pick six.
