What’s the latest on Arsenal?

Arsenal’s biggest signing of the summer so far has been the arrival of Manchester City and Brazil forward Gabriel Jesus, for a fee of which is believed to be £45m.

The 25-year-old also joins midfielder Fábio Vieira, who joined the club for £30m from Portuguese side FC Porto.

The Gunners have also signed New England Revolution goalkeeper Matt Turner and 19-year-old Brazilian winger Marquinhos from São Paulo.

Arteta’s side are still looking to bring in players to the club and have been linked with a multitude of players throughout the summer, most notably Ajax and Argentina centre-back Lisandro Martínez.

And Brown believes that whilst it has already been a productive summer for Arsenal, they are still in the hunt for a number of other players this summer.

What has Brown said about Arsenal?

He told GIVEMESPORT: “It hasn't been a bad summer for Arsenal as they’ve already signed Gabriel Jesus.

“What else do they do after that?

“We'll have to wait and see but they're definitely in the market for more players.”

What next for Arsenal?

It’ll be an interesting remaining few months of the transfer window for Arteta’s side, with the head coach seemingly desperate to improve the quality in his backline.

The aforementioned Martínez deal looks like it will go down to the wire, with Manchester United and Erik ten Hag also desperate for the player’s signature at Old Trafford, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Meanwhile, Youri Tielemans has been named as a target throughout the summer, but interest in the Leicester City and Belgium midfielder seems to have cooled with the head coach preferring to focus on other targets as things stand.

According to reports in Italy, the Gunners have had a £47.2m bid turned down for Lazio and Serbia midfielder Sergej Milinković-Savić, with the same report suggesting the Serie A club would be open to selling the 27-year-old for £55.8m.

And according to La Repubblica, both Arsenal and Manchester United have made enquiries about former Juventus and Argentina forward Paulo Dybala, who is now a free-agent after his contract at the Serie A giants expired this summer.

It seems that whilst Arsenal aren’t openly bidding for every player available in the transfer window, they are getting smart business done early, and the final few months of the window could prove to be very exciting for Gunners fans.
