Finally, some good news for the gaming community as God of War Ragnarok has an official release date.

The sequel to Sony and Santa Monica Studio’s God of War reboot will arrive later this year, for both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.

In addition to the launch date, some other details about the physical release of the game have also been revealed.

Now, months of leaks and unconfirmed reports, God of War Ragnarok finally has a confirmed release date.

A new cinematic trailer for God of War Ragnarok has confirmed its release date for 9th November 2022. A 30-second clip from the game shows Kratos and Atreus facing off before the gruff and battle-hardened god-slayer is thrown off a cliff.

Kratos and Atreus are also shown facing off against what seems like a gigantic and terrifying wolf in the trailer. Before we give away any more juicy details, check out the trailer below:


However, besides the incredible trailer, Santa Monica Studio has also shared some screenshots for the game in a PlayStation Blog post, though none of them appears to give away any crucial key Ragnarok elements that will possibly form part of the gameplay.

“We’re thrilled to be able to share our release date and the brand-new God of War Ragnarök – Father and Son CG Trailer with all the God of War fans who has been eagerly awaiting news. We hope you’ve enjoyed a glimpse at some of the dangers Kratos and Atreus could find themselves up against as Ragnarök approaches,” writes Grace Orlady, Sr. Community manager at Santa Monica Studio.

Meanwhile, in addition to the standard edition of the game, Sony will also release a Collector’s Edition.

This version has been shown off in greater detail in an unboxing video, which is also available on the PlayStation Blog. The game’s pre-orders will then go live next week, on 15th July 2022.
