Randy Orton and Christian's feud from 2011 was one of the best things WWE has produced in quite some time.

Following Edge's retirement from wrestling in 2011, WWE was forced to try and create a new star, and settled on Christian.

Being Edge's tag team partner and best friend, the story was already there for Christian, and to their credit, WWE did a great job with him in the months that followed.

Christian became the World Heavyweight Champion, and after turning heel on Randy Orton, became one of the most interesting characters in WWE.

The feud between Christian and Orton was one of the best things about WWE that year, and that's saying something considering it took place around the same time as the 'Summer of Punk'.

The pair shared the ring for a No Holds Barred match at SummerSlam in 2011, with Christian's World Heavyweight title on the line.

The match featured some great spots, but it was the spot that ended the match that tops the lot, but perhaps isn't remembered by fans as much as it should be.

The finish to the match came when Orton hit Christian with an RKO onto the steel steps. The spot was brutal, as you can see below, but was brilliant nonetheless.

The clip was recently shared online, reminding fans of just how good it was, with many taking to social media to praise the pair for the work they put in 11 years ago, particularly with this RKO.

Christian is part of the AEW roster now, having left WWE for AEW last year shortly after returning from retirement.

Randy Orton is still with WWE to this day, and to his credit, has turned himself into one of their hottest babyfaces over the last couple of months, despite now being in the industry for 20 years.

Orton is out of action with a serious injury now though, and is forced to undergo surgery for a bad back issue he is dealing with.

The injury caused some of WWE's main event plans to change, with Randy's proposed match with Roman Reigns at SummerSlam having to be called off, with the former WWE Champion now out until 2023.

Although it likely won't be against Christian, Randy will be hoping to recreate some of the magic he was part of in 2011 when he's fit and able to return to the ring in 2023.
