Forspoken: Game delayed until January 2023

Forspoken Delayed Again

The gaming community will have to wait even longer, as the upcoming action RPG Forspoken has been pushed back to 2023.

The PlayStation 5 and PC title was supposed to be released in May 2022, but Square Enix announced that it would be delayed until October.

However, now it appears that the game won’t be released at this time, meaning that the title needs some additional TLC.

We know that the story will follow Frey Holland, a shrewd, yet merciless lady who had a solid childhood in New York City and ends up in a frantically unforgiving reality where the fight for endurance is persistent.

But what do we know about the game’s most recent developments? We have information for you below.

Forspoken Postponed until 2023

Forspoken is coming in 2022.

The most recent news about the game was declared earlier today through the game’s official Twitter account, which indicated that Forspoken will now be released on PS5 and PC on 24th January 2023.

The initial work on the game has now been completed, according to Luminous and Square Enix, and the development team is now focused on finishing up.

“As a result of ongoing discussions with key partners, we have made the strategic decision to move the launch date of Forspoken to January 24, 2023,” according to the announcement. “All game elements are now complete, and development is in its final polishing phase.”

Based on the recent declaration, Forspoken has not been cancelled for good but postponed. Last year it was indicated that the open-world activity RPG was set to deliver in May 2022, just to be pushed back to October, seems like that also didn’t work out.

Now, given the game’s proximity to titles such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and God of War Ragnarok, it appears that Square Enix wants Forspoken to be released in a much quiet period.

A simple one to begin with, we beg you know this – otherwise I’d just stop here.

Having said that, Square Enix is creating Forspoken explicitly for the PS5, PC won’t be accessible on PS4 or Xbox, however, that might just change shortly.
