Mario Kart Tour has been rumoured to be coming to PC! We have all the details below.

It appears that fans have discovered a string of data that may point to Nintendo’s mobile title Mario Kart Tour coming to PC with an official port. Nintendo has often had a tricky situation when it comes to exporting games to different devices. We’re sure many fans would love to play iconic games like Zelda: Breath of the Wild or Super Mario Oddysey on a variety of different consoles, but thanks to the games being specifically made for Nintendo consoles – this has never come into fruition.

However, now with Nintendo developing mobile games – this could lead to a pathway of developing titles for more than just say a Nintendo Switch or an older Nintendo console, with recent rumours suggesting that the first to be making an appearance being that of Mario Kart Tour, which is currently out now for mobile devices only.

Mario Kart Tour is a mobile game that was released in 2019. Like the rest of the Mario Kart franchise, Mario Kart Tour is a racing game containing tracks based on real-world locations as well as some ‘Mario world’ favourites. The game was well-received by fans and has allowed many players who don’t necessarily have a console to play the iconic racing game from their very own personal mobile device.

Mario Kart Tour has even recently featured in the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC. Due to its success, many expect big things in the future for Mario Kart Tour and this could be on the horizon as fans have discovered a data mine that suggests that the game could be on its way to PC. We have all the information below.

Rumour: Mario Kart Tour coming to PC

The data mine in question suggests that they have added the mouse as a new input mode – which indicates the idea that Mario Kart Tour is coming to PC.

This mouse feature would be rendered useless for the existing game on the mobile, as it only relies on touchscreen capabilities, but this is only a rumour so nothing is confirmed as to whether it actually means anything or whether it’s just the developers testing a feature out.

It would be a great switch for the title, and would also open up opportunities for games in the future – which could prove revolutionary for Nintendo. I guess we’ll wait and see.
