Dana White $250k video: Jake Paul has brutal reaction towards UFC President

Dana White’s $250,000 birthday gift to a YouTuber has made many feel disgusted with his behaviour, and of course, Jake Paul has given his thoughts on the present.

The social media megastar has been a serious advocate for MMA fighters to be paid more by the UFC and has called its President a ‘scumbag’ for his most recent flex of wealth.

Kyle Forgeard, who is part of the YouTube group Nelk Boys, was at a restaurant celebrating his birthday when the UFC boss appeared to hand him a box containing the $250,000 inside it.

If there was any way of showing everyone how minted you are, then that would be it.

As to be expected, the present lit a fire among many in the UFC circle, including fighters themselves with their pay having been a point of discussion for a long time.

Jake Paul, who has for all his flaws perhaps been the biggest supporter for increased fighter pay, was not afraid to criticise White when it came to the subject.

Speaking to WFAN Sports Radio, Paul sounded off on the UFC head for his freakish display of wealth.

He said: “It’s embarrassing and it shows just how much of a scumbag Dana White is. How could you do that to your fighter?

“You’re giving a birthday gift to someone but your own flyweight champion (Deiveson Figueiredo), you can’t pay him enough and there’s no healthcare for his fighters.

“People are really starting to see how greedy this guy is, people are really starting to see that these fighters are underpaid.

“There’s got to be some changes made here and the more we talk about it, the more we raise awareness and the more we fight back, the more pressure they’re going to be under to pay their fighters more.

Can you get 20/20 on our random UFC fighters quiz? We doubt it…

“But it sucks, I feel bad for the flyweight champion. Dana White, if you’re listening to this, bro, you really need to re-evaluate yourself and take a hard look in the mirror.”

While White has shaken off such comments on a number of previous occasions, it might be a little more difficult to brush off the critiques of your own fighters.

UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling tweeted: “Dope! My birthday is July 31st! Can’t wait to see what Dana gets me!”

Former UFC fighter and commentator Dan Hardy joined in and said: “Retweet if you think Uncle Dana should give all of the UFC’s top 15 ranked fighters $250,000 for their next birthday.”

While Jon Fitch, who fought in both the UFC and Bellator, tweeted: “He’s giving away the money he stole from fighters.”

Not the smartest move, Dana.
