UFC London has taken a hit, as fan favourite fighter Darren Till will no longer be taking part on the fight card against Jack Hermansson.

It’s a big loss for the highly-anticipated fight card, which currently has Paddy Pimblett, Molly McCann and Tom Aspinall.

Whilst it’s likely that the company will be able to find a replacement for the favoured Middleweight contender, it’s still a massively derailing moment for Till in his fight career.

Here is everything you need to know about Darren Till vs Jack Hermansson being removed from UFC London 2022 due to injury.

Darren Till Fight Cancelled

UFC London July 2022

The cancellation of the fight was first confirmed on Twitter by ESPN writer Marc Raimondi, who noted: “Darren Till is out of his scheduled UFC London co-main event bout with Jack Hermansson due to an undisclosed injury, sources told ESPN. More coming shortly to @espnmma.”

Raimondi would also speculate that Chris Curtis will be taking the place of the Scouse fighter: “The frontrunner to replace Till? None other than Chris Curtis, who has won eight straight and earned his way into the UFC after retiring and unretiring in the same night during the PFL playoffs back in 2019.”

UPDATE: the UFC has now confirmed that Curtis will be fighting on the card.

Israel Adesanya is regarded as one of the greatest fighters of his generation

‘The Gorilla’ Till was hoping to return to winning ways in the UFC at the event in the O2 Arena on Saturday, July 23rd, after losing to Derek Brunson back in September 2021.

The loss to Brunson was a big one, as Till was hoping to secure a title shot against Israel Adesanya with a win.

It’s not currently known exactly what the injury/injuries sustained by Till are, but we will hopefully find out the nature of the issue in the following days.
