Everton would have to use all of their budget to sign Chelsea striker Armando Broja this summer, according to Daily Star journalist Paul Brown.

The 20-year-old is one player manager Frank Lampard is thought to be considering right now, but Brown thinks he could end up being too expensive for the club.

What is the latest news involving Broja?

The Telegraph recently reported that Lampard has identified Broja as a potential replacement for Richarlison.

The Brazilian left Everton for Tottenham in a £60m deal at the start of the month, leaving a massive void at Goodison Park.

Regarding how much Broja is likely to cost, another report from The Telegraph claims clubs could be looking at £30m, though it also stated that West Ham were not given a price by Chelsea when they went knocking.

With Everton and West Ham both circling, it is clear to see that Broja is a man in demand, but Lampard may feel he has an advantage having briefly worked with the Albanian during the 2019/20 season.

In fact, it was the Chelsea legend who gave him his Premier League debut, which ironically came in a 4-0 win over the Toffees at Stamford Bridge.

What has Brown said about Broja to Everton?

Brown cannot see Everton splashing out this summer unless there are more exits, which could make a move for Broja difficult.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the Daily Star journalist said: "Broja, I think, is an interesting one. He would certainly swallow up all of Everton's budget if they were to sign him.

"I don't think he would come particularly cheap, and whether they'd risk spending all of their money on one player like that, of that age, who's had one good season in the Premier League, I have my doubts. So we'll have to see, but I can't see Everton doing huge business this summer unless there are more sales."

Is Broja capable of replacing Richarlison at Goodison Park?

Broja would be a good addition to Everton's squad. They need another striker, and the Albania international showed a lot of promise during his loan spell at Southampton last season, scoring six goals in 32 Premier League outings.

All things considered, he would be a great alternative to Dominic Calvert-Lewin, but there are some question marks over whether he could replace Richarlison.

The Brazil international is a very unique forward; he can perform up front and on the flank. In an ideal world, Lampard would probably love to sign an attacker who is similar. That versatility especially came in handy last term amid Calvert-Lewin's injury problems.

At this stage of his career, it is not something Broja can probably do, with the Chelsea youngster having spent little time away from his preferred No.9 position.

It may not be something Everton fans want to hear, but the Merseyside club face an almost impossible task replacing Richarlison on their current budget.
