Sasha Banks & Naomi: Big indication that WWE stars have been released after walkout

Rumours that Sasha Banks and Naomi have been released by WWE

After a new report emerged today, rumours suggesting that Sasha Banks and Naomi have been released by WWE have intensified.

PWInsider has reported today that Banks and Naomi have both been removed from WWE’s internal roster page over the last 24 hours.

While there has been no official indication they have been released, PWInsider.com can confirm that both Sasha Banks and Naomi were removed from WWE’s Internal roster over the last 24 hours.

The significance of this is that despite both being suspended in May, Banks and Naomi remained on the internal roster page, so it seems like something has now changed.

Reports in June from WrestlingInc suggested that Banks has been released, but explained that Naomi remained with the company.

Interestingly, Raj Giri was the only person to report the news, with no other journalist being able to corroborate and say that they’d heard that Sasha had been let go.

It’s also worth stressing that, even now, no one other thank Giri is reporting that Banks has been released, and no one has reported that Naomi has been let go.

It just seems like something has changed, with the duo now off the internal roster page, and that could suggest that they’ve been released.

In case you don’t know what’s happened, Naomi and Sasha Banks walked out of the May 16 episode of Raw after being unhappy with their creative plans for the show.

The pair, who were Women’s Tag Team Champions at the time, were also unhappy about how they’d been treated since winning the belts at WrestleMania the month prior.

The pair were stripped of their Women’s Tag Team Championship that night, and officially suspended by the company, without pay, that week.

They haven’t appeared on WWE TV, and both women have laid quite low on social media, not addressing their status with the wrestling giant.

Since the report of their removal from the roster page emerged, fans went to check whether or not they were still listed on WWE.com as active WWE Superstars, which they are.

The story still isn’t quite clear when it comes to the two women, and no one really knows for sure whether or not they are still under contract with the company or not.

However, this is a big change from what we were seeing before, so it’s definitely got fans talking about what the future holds for the two incredibly popular individuals.

Of course, GiveMeSport will endeavour to keep you updated with all the latest news and updates on both Naomi and Sasha Banks’ statuses within WWE.
