Skull and Bones: official release date

Ubisoft has finally revealed the release date for Skull and Bones, its much-delayed pirate-themed video game.

The gaming community has been waiting for Skull and Bones for a couple of years now because it was announced in 2018, but a few factors have caused it to be delayed, and frustration has grown in the gaming scene.

The tide has now turned, as the open-world pirate multiplayer game places players at the bottom of the ladder and tasks them with gathering resources as they work their way up.

Ubisoft announced on Thursday that Skull and Bones, its ambitious and frequently delayed open-world pirate adventure, will be released on 8th November 2022.

Ubisoft Singapore, the studio behind the five-year-old project, followed the announcement with a livestream of Skull and Bones’ world and gameplay.

In Skull and Bones, players assume the role of a pirate captain trying to make a name for themselves in the Indian Ocean, on a map that stretches from East Africa to Malaysia. As they progress, they’ll command larger ships and crews, manage the ongoing threat of mutiny, gather food and plunder, and manage mutiny threats.

Additionally, while Skull and Bones appears to be a solo game, Ubisoft has shown that the game lends itself well to multiplayer.

The game allows players to go on adventures at sea with up to two other people and to take part in PVP battles with other players, meaning that playing Skull and Bones across multiple platforms will allow players to find other players to go pirating with.
