Jake Paul has admitted his brother warned him against fighting Hasim Rahman Jr - but insists that he is 'not afraid of any man'.

The YouTuber-turned-prizefighter will put his unbeaten record on the line against Rahman Jr on August 6 in New York.

Paul, 25, was forced to search for a replacement for Tommy Fury after the pair's grudge match fell through earlier this week.

And The Problem Child didn't seem to have too much trouble finding a new opponent - with Rahman Jr being given the nod.

That's despite him apparently going against the wishes of his brother Logan Paul and manager Nakisa Bidarian who voiced their obvious concerns at the prospect of him facing the son of a former heavyweight world champion.

Paul however has predicted that he will become the second man to finish Rahman Jr and is confident he can come out on top.

"I’ve wanted this fight ever since Hasim ran his big mouth to me two years ago in the gym," Paul told BoxingScene.com.

"My brother and manager didn’t want me to take this fight. They said it was too much risk.

Jake Paul vs Hasim Rahman Jr will take place at Madison Square Garden in New York on August 6

"The New York State Athletic Commission didn’t want to approve this fight because they said Hasim had too much experience for me. He has over 100 amateur fights. 10 times more than Tommy.

"But I’m built different. I’m psychotic. Chaotic.

"Problematic. But 'he’s a heavyweight' they said. It don’t matter to me, I'm the fighting flea, they can’t hit me.

"I’m slippery like butter and with speed like no other. My power is unique and my style is sleek. I’ve made the toughest men weak.

"I’m not afraid of any man or what can happen."

But BAVAFA Sports CEO Bidarian, 45, has insisted that Paul faces a tough task against Rahman Jr.

Speaking to ESPN, he said: "I don't see the benefit of doing the fight at this stage, given all the other opportunities that are there for Jake.

"He can prove himself against a 6-0 boxer or a 5-0 boxer, someone who is just there to build their record to lose to someone like Jake.

"That's not what he wanted; he wanted to truly challenge himself. Him and his coaching team believe that they can beat Hasim Rahman Jr. They believe they can finish Hasim Rahman Jr."
