God of War Ragnarok: Map reveals a glimpse of Asgard

God of War Ragnarok

A first look at the version of Asgard that may appear in God of War Ragnarok has just been revealed.

The God of War reboot sequel will be released later this year on both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 after the gaming community had to wait some time for its official release date.

Now that the release date has been announced, the developers teased a map of the nine realms, which is expected to appear in the game.

Although Santa Monica Studio had previously stated seeing this location wouldn’t happen in Ragnarok, we’re now shown what the realm should look like.

With that said, scroll down for the latest information regarding one of 2022’s much-anticipated games.

Will Asgard feature in God of War Ragnarok?

God of War Ragnarok is scheduled for release in 2022.

However, the PlayStation blog also released an unboxing video showing a few of the different versions of God of War Ragnarok that is being sold.

What was interring from the different version is a map of the nine Realms which appears in Jotnar Edition. In this map, we get a brief glimpse of the realms, which means we can see Asgard first.

It’s not clear if Asgard will have a fortress or a castle in the future. In the image below, you can see a glimpse of Asgard:

Based on the image above, it is also impossible to predict how the artistic representation of Asgard on the Jotnar Edition item for God of War Ragnarok will be displayed in the game, but it seems likely that the massive structure we’re seeing is the home of Thor, Odin, and many other characters from Norse mythology.

The God of War Ragnarok Jotnar Edition contains the following items:

  • Digital code for God of War Ragnarok
  • Steelbook display case
  • 2″ Vanir Twins carvings
  • Brok’s dice set
  • 16″ Mjonlir replica
  • 7-inch vinyl record with two tracks from composer Bear McCreary
  • The Falcon, Bear, and Wolf pin set
  • The legendary Draupnir Ring
  • Yggdrasil cloth map
  • Digital in-game content:
  • Kratos Darkdale Armour
  • Atreus Darkdale Attire
  • Darkdale Blade Handles
  • Darkdale Axe Grip
  • Official God of War Ragnarok Digital Soundtrack

A simple one to begin with, we beg you know this – otherwise I’d just stop here.

There’s a lot of enticing information on this map, and it won’t be long before fans of the game start dissecting them apart.

In the meantime, Sony will release a Collector’s Edition of the game in addition to the standard edition. The game’s pre-orders will then go live on 15th July 2022.
