It is no secret that Paddy âThe Baddyâ Pimblettâs weight fluctuates between fights, with many shocked when they see the Scouse fighter when heâs not in training for a fight.Pimblett is relatively new to the UFC roster, but does boast a record of two wins from two fights. His MMA record as a whole reads at 18 wins and three losses. The 27-year-old has become very popular due to his straight-talking and charismatic nature and has breathed new life into the UFC. He appears to have the talent to match, with first round wins in both his UFC debut against Luigi Vendramini and his second fight against Kazulu Vargas in March of this year.Pimblett featured on Gary Nevilleâs âThe Overlapâ this week, with his close friend and fellow fighter Molly âThe Meatballâ McCann. The trio spoke about a number of things, but viewers were most intrigued by Nevilleâs dismay when discussing Pimblettâs weight fluctuation, as can be seen in this video.
Pimblett fights as a lightweight, with his fighting weight being 70kg. However, he explains to Neville how he got up to 93kg following his last fight in March.
At the time of recording the episode, Pimblett explained that he was 85.2kg that morning; which shows that the training for his fight with Jordan Leavitt on July 23 is well underway.

Neville asks Pimblett and McCann if they ever struggle to make weight for their fights, to which Pimblett replied: âNo. Weâve struggled in the past when weâve been unprofessional about it, but now weâre very professional about it."
Pimblett went on to say: âIâve still got 14-and-a-half kilos to lose,â to which Neville is visibly shocked. McCann also explained that the weight âjust melts off him."
Neville raises the point that it may become more difficult to lose the weight so drastically as Pimblett gets older, which is definitely something to keep an eye out for.
For now, though, it seems that, despite getting to 23kg above fighting weight after his March victory and consuming 11,000 calories the Monday after that fight, Paddy âThe Baddyâ Pimblett will shed the remaining weight prior to entering the Octagon on the 23rd.
Will âThe Baddyâ continue his undefeated start to life in the UFC, or will Leavitt prevail?
