Tottenham could make another signing on top of Djed Spence, although it's unlikely be a defender, according to Daily Star journalist Paul Brown.

Antonio Conte has been a busy man in the summer window, making five additions, with Spence expected to become the Italian's sixth signing.

Who have Tottenham already signed?

In recent history, the north London club have waited until late on in the window to get their business completed, but with Conte and Fabio Paratici teaming up, that's no longer the case.

Just one month into the window, Tottenham have already welcomed five new players and are still hoping to make further signings.

Fraser Forster and Ivan Perisic were the first men through the door, joining on free transfers, while Yves Bissouma and Richarlison followed from Premier League rivals Brighton and Everton.

Barcelona ace Clement Lenglet was Conte's most recent acquisition, signing on a season-long loan, and he is expected to provide competition for the likes of Eric Dier and Ben Davies.

What did Brown say about Tottenham?

Brown recognises that Spurs could make further additions, but reckons the Frenchman will be their last defensive signing.

He told GIVEMESPORT: "I've think now they've got Lenglet, that's the defensive side of things tied up. It wouldn't surprise me if there's another transfer down the line, they've got money to spend because of what ENIC put in at the beginning of the window.

"He's filled most positions he wanted. He wanted a forward to compete with and put pressure on Kane, he got that in Richarlison, he wanted a tough nut in midfield in Bissouma, he got a wing-back in Perisic and is going for another in Spence.

"But it wouldn't surprise me if they go for one more player."

Which area could Tottenham strengthen?

Conte wants two players in every position, and he's already close to achieving that, making it hard to predict which area of the pitch his final signing might be, should there.

He currently has six wing-backs at his disposal, several central defenders and five midfielders, it makes sense for Spurs' seventh and final addition to be at the top end of the pitch.

It's unclear what type of player Conte might be after, though, with Jesse Lingard, Anthony Gordon and Memphis Depay, who play in different positions, all linked, but with Steven Bergwijn now out the door, a sixth attacker can't be completely ruled out.
