Rafael Fiziev won the battle of the Rafaels when he took down Rafael dos Anjos last night before calling out tennis star Rafael Nadal, we’re seeing a pattern here!It was the biggest win of his career, knocking out Dos Anjos, a former lightweight champion after just five rounds in Vegas. After a quick start in the fight, he seemed to slow after three rounds, given Dos Anjos a chance to get back into the clash, although it didn’t last too long. However, after a vicious left hook, he had his opponent on the canvas in the fifth round, with the referee having to step in after Fiziev landed another punch with Dos Anjos already down.He responded to the win by saying: “I want to say now we know who is the best Rafael in the UFC. Now we know. I look at the finish in all rounds. Sean Shelby, I believe you give me something nice. Give me someone in this top five, I’m ready.”Fiziev clearly is making waves in the sport, winning his main event bout in style in Vegas and now wants a bigger challenge. After winning six fights in a row, there’s no reason why he doesn’t deserve a shot at a bigger fight now, he’s getting closer to being in title contention surely.

The victory won’t leave many other UFC fighters in the division ahead of him, he’s quickly rising to be one of the best lightweights around currently.

On top of his serious words after the fight, he provided us with some serious entertainment, offering Rafael Nadal, tennis superstar, a chance to take him on.

The fighter was asked who he wants to call out after the result leaves him predicted  to be ranked seven in the sport, to which he just replied: “Rafael Nadal, I can beat him in his sport too.”

Whilst you have to admire his confidence, Nadal has more Grand Slam titles than any other male tennis player, recently making another semi-final at Wimbledon.

Unfortunately, the Spanish star had to withdraw through injury before his semi-final match and thus missing out on a chance to make it 23 Grand Slams.

Fiziev took to Twitter after the fight to offer Nadal the first four rounds tennis and a fifth round MMA.

We’re sure there’s plenty of people out there that would love to see this happen, it would be an interesting watch that’s for sure!
