Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele doesn't necessarily want to still be at the club, according to Daily Star journalist Paul Brown.

The £27m-rated Frenchman spent last season back on loan at Lyon but he has returned to Hotspur Way ahead of the new campaign.

What's the latest news involving Ndombele?

Despite his latest game as a Spurs player ending sourly, Ndombele was amongst the first batch of players that arrived back at the club's Enfield training base for the start of pre-season last week.

The 25-year-old returned along with several other of his teammates, although any questions over whether he might be given a reprieve by Antonio Conte look to have already been put to bed.

That's because Ndombele was left out of the pre-season tour of South Korea which left on Saturday, with the club stating that he will 'continue his preparations at Hotspur Way'.

Ndombele's exclusion appears to all-but confirm that he won't be part of the squad next season and will therefore be unable to add to his 91 appearances since his record move three years ago.

But while Conte clearly doesn't see the France international as part of his plans, Brown reckons that Ndombele himself might want to part ways with the north London outfit.

What did Brown say about Ndombele?

He told GIVEMESPORT: "You'd have to question whether he wants to be there having seen other players overtake him in the pecking order.

"He's spent his whole Spurs career being criticised by different managers, it doesn't seem to be an easy relationship, so I think if an interested club comes in with an interesting offer, it might suit all parties for him to leave."

Who else could leave Tottenham?

Jack Clarke and Steven Bergwijn have already been moved on, although those two aren't likely to be the last through the exit door.

Along with Ndombele, Sergio Reguilon Harry Winks and Giovani Lo Celso were all left out of the travelling party to the Far East, which suggests those three also have no futures at Tottenham.

Meanwhile, Joe Rodon didn't make the trip, although the club confirmed that his absence was due to illness. Regardless, the Welshman is wanted by Fulham as he looks to improve his game-time ahead of the World Cup.

Japhet Tanganga could also depart, with The Athletic reporting that newly-promoted Bournemouth, who are managed by ex-Spurs midfielder Scott Parker, are interested in the defender's services.
