West Ham midfielder Tomas Soucek could bring in a "decent fee" for the east London club this summer, believes Daily Star journalist Paul Brown.

The 27-year-old is being linked with a move away from the London Stadium amid a contract dispute with the Hammers, and Brown thinks they could be prepared to sell him to help David Moyes rebuild the squad.

What is the latest news involving Soucek?

According to The Sun, Soucek's future at West Ham is in doubt after he was told that he would not be getting a pay rise.

With that seemingly preventing the Czech Republic international from signing a new deal, the same outlet has claimed that the Premier League side could now be ready to listen to £30m offers for the player.

Newcastle United, Everton and Aston Villa are the teams who are currently thought to be showing an interest in Soucek.

The former Slavia Prague man, who joined West Ham on a permanent deal from the Czech outfit back in 2020, has two years remaining on his current contract.

What has Brown said about Soucek's West Ham future?

Brown can see Soucek departing the London Stadium this summer in a development that could help Moyes to rebuild his side.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the Daily Star journalist said: "Of all the people in the squad who are available, he's one who might bring in quite a decent fee and might help them rebuild in other areas. So it does look like maybe he might go and a midfielder might come in."

How much money could West Ham make from a Soucek sale?

The Hammers bought Soucek from Slavia Prague for just under £20m, so they should be looking to make a profit on that.

He has proven to be a very effective midfielder and in both boxes. Over the last year, Soucek has ranked in the 92nd percentile for touches in the attacking penalty area, the 99th for clearances and the 98th for aerials won among his positional peers (via FBref).

That threat in the penalty area has been declining, with the West Ham man scoring just five league goals last season after registering an impressive 10 in the 2020/21 campaign. Nevertheless, it is still clear to see that he is quite a well-rounded midfielder.

When you consider all of the above, West Ham should be aiming to bring in £30m minimum if they do decide to sell Soucek this summer.
