Leeds United would be reluctant to let winger Jack Harrison leave the club this summer unless they received a “ridiculous offer” according to Tim Thornton of Sky Sports.

The former Manchester City man is likely to be a part of Jesse Marsch’s plans, with the future of Brazilian winger Raphinha likely to be away from Elland Road.

What’s the latest at Leeds?

According to Fabrizio Romano, Raphinha believes that he is set for a move to Barcelona, with the La Liga club offering a guaranteed £60.8m to Leeds for the nine-time Brazil international.

Meanwhile, Kalvin Phillips’ move to Manchester City was confirmed at the start of July, with the Whites receiving £42m for the midfielder, with the deal potentially rising to £45m in add-ons.

It seems as though the Elland Road club have already bought the replacements for both Phillips and Raphinha, with United States midfielder Tyler Adams and Colombia winger Luis Sinisterra joining the club in July, for a reported combined fee of approximately £41m.

And Thornton doesn’t believe that Marsch will be keen to get rid of winger Harrison, although if an excellent offer came in for the £16.2m-rated man, there would have to be a discussion regarding his future.

What has Thornton said about Harrison?

He told GIVEMESPORT: “If they lose Raphinha here, I think they’d be very reluctant to let Jack Harrison go unless somebody came in with a ridiculous offer, at which point obviously there will be a conversation to be had.”

Will Harrison stay at Leeds?

It seems very probable that Harrison, who has scored 42 career goals during his club career, will remain at Elland Road this summer, with there being no serious links to a move away from the club for the 25-year-old winger as of yet this summer.

And Marsch will be delighted if he can secure the future of the 5 foot 8 wide man, with the Stoke-on-Trent born man offering much more to the side than just goals and assists.

On top of his ten goals and two assists FBref.

As well as this, the former England U21 international ranked in the top 9% of attacking midfielders/wingers for blocks per 90 minutes last season (1.81) according to the same stats provider.

Looking at Harrison’s performances and stats from across the last campaign, Marsch will be desperate to keep him within his plans for this season, and it would take an extremely lucrative offer for the club to consider letting the former Manchester City man leave the club.
