Nick Kyrgios wasn’t able to win his maiden Grand Slam on Sunday when he took on Novak Djokovic in the Wimbledon final, losing over four sets, but he was on top of his entertainment game.

He managed to win the opening set six games to four before losing three on the spin to hand Djokovic his fourth consecutive Wimbledon crown and seventh overall, cementing his place as an all-time great.

It was an evenly contested, gruelling match, but the number one seed was just too good in the key moments, calling upon all his experience and previous triumphs to get the job done over a first time finalist.

The Australian was still incredibly entertaining throughout the game, engaging in numerous heated discussions with the umpire and bemoaning the crowd, including the already iconic ‘700 drinks’ rant about one spectator.

Although he makes plenty of headlines for his demeanour on the court and how he conducts himself, he was also entertaining us with his tennis throughout the final, pushing Djokovic all the way.

It was a gruelling encounter for both, giving it absolutely everything out there to win the biggest crown in the sport, it was a thrilling final.

One moment that might’ve been missed in the chaos was a fake underarm serve from Kyrgios to bamboozle Djokovic.

He’s known for throwing in the odd underarm serve during the game, so Djokovic will certainly have been ready for it, so Kyrgios went one further and faked an underarm serve.

The match was level at one set all, with Kyrgios serving first in the opening game of the third set. He was down a break point with it advantage Djokovic.

After faking the underarm serve, you can see Djokovic start his forward run to try and return it and then Kyrgios stopped and served the conventional way.

Djokovic was still able return the serve, but Kyrgios won the point to prevent his serve from being broken in the opening game of the third set after losing the previous one.

It was vintage Kyrgios, who loves nothing more than shocking his opponent and winding them up with his antics as we’ve seen throughout the tournament at the All England Club.

Although the pair have played out a fierce rivalry in the past, the pair buried the hatchet and were full of praise for one another afterwards, putting on a show, even after the game, summing up the entertainment factor of the final.
