Speaking on his Anik & Florian Podcast, Florian would give his take on what may happen this weekend in the main event.

He said: “Tremendous matchmaking here. This is a fight between two guys with similar backgrounds who do not quit, who have specialities in different areas that very few people do have.

“Ortega with the submissions and Yair’s speed. Every time Yair strikes [in] every fight I'm always surprised by how fast he is. I'm like ‘oh yeah he's lightning fast I kind of forgot about that’ and then the next fight ‘oh yeah he's lightning fast I kind of forgot about how he is so damn fast’ and nasty like every strike he throws he's either trying to break your leg break your chin send your head off your shoulders.

“He's a nasty pr*ck [laughs] and in that fight against [Max] Holloway] he showed that he's tough as well, he's game as hell right?

“I just think Yair is streaking at the right time, he's taking smart fights he's taking the time off in between fights to come back better and smarter. Let's go with Rodriguez.”
