The kid looks a real talent, doesn't he?

Lining up alongside fellow United academy star Charlie Savage, the son of Robbie, Iqbal dictated the tempo of proceedings, played some composed passes and showed off how press resistant he is.

He even found time to leave Fabinho and Keita chasing shadows...

Well played, Zidane (which is quite the first name for a professional footballer, isn't it?).

Here's what some other United fans tweeted in response to Iqbal's display against Liverpool:

They certainly like what they saw - and it's easy to understand why!

It will be interesting to see whether Iqbal is handed first-team minutes in 2022/23 at United or if he's shipped out on loan for the season in order to gain vital experience.

Given that the Red Devils currently look a bit bare in central midfield, Ten Hag may opt to keep ahold of the teenager for the upcoming season.

Well, unless the club are able to sign Frenkie de Jong from Barcelona this summer, a transfer saga which has dragged on for weeks on end with no conclusion to it currently in sight.
