Arsenal are still in contact with Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans over a summer move to the Emirates, claims CBS reporter Ben Jacobs.

The north London club's interest looked to have cooled, but Jacobs says they are still keen on Tielemans and have already agreed personal terms with him.

What is the latest news involving Tielemans?

With just one year remaining on his Leicester contract, Tielemans has caught the attention of multiple Premier League sides.

According to talkSPORT, he is one midfielder Manchester United have on their radar as Erik ten Hag looks to bolster his options in that area of the pitch.

Arsenal have also been heavily linked with the 25-year-old, though more than one outlet, including Sky Sports, claimed last month that the Gunners' interest had cooled.

Tielemans joined Leicester from AS Monaco for £40m in July 2019 after a successful loan spell at the King Power Stadium and is now valued at £49.5m by Transfermarkt.

What has Jacobs said about Tielemans and Arsenal?

Jacobs has told GIVEMESPORT that Tielemans remains a target for Arsenal, who are still in contact with the player.

Speaking to GMS, the CBS reporter said: "Tielemans wants to move to Arsenal, has already agreed terms, and is available at a bargain price of under 35 million. Arsenal haven’t placed a formal bid yet but remain in contact with Tielemans."

Have Arsenal been linked with any other midfielders?

Another midfielder who Arsenal are reportedly interested in is Lazio's Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

According to Tutto Juve, the Premier League outfit are willing to pay €50m (around £42m) to sign the 27-year-old this summer.

Milinkovic-Savic was in excellent form last season as Lazio went on to finish fifth in Serie A. In 37 league appearances, he scored 11 goals and provided 11 assists - impressive numbers for someone in his position.

As per FBref, the Serbia international has also ranked in the 98th percentile for touches in the penalty area among his positional peers over the last year, so it is clear that he is quite an offensive central midfielder.

Ultimately, if Arsenal are still looking to sign another player for the engine room but do not want Tielemans, then Milinkovic-Savic would not be a bad option.

However, having already brought Fabio Vieira to the Emirates this summer, manager Mikel Arteta may be content with what he has, so it would not be a shock if they did not purchase either.
