The FIFA 22 FUTTIES promo is just around the corner and now leakers have revealed an all-new card type is supposedly coming to the game called 'Premium FUTTIES', which operates with a different chemistry system to normal cards.

The FUTTIES was a concept first introduced into FIFA 15 Ultimate Team and has remained an integral part of the FIFA calendar ever since. The event usually consists of community-based votes on a variety of categories in which the winner eventually gets a ridiculous boosted FUTTIES card - but this is simply going off previous instalments, FIFA 22 could be entirely different.

Last year EA treated us with some phenomenal cards from a variety of different categories, including the likes of 99-rated Lionel Messi, a 98 N’Golo Kante and a 96 Arjen Robben.

This year it seems like EA are adding a brand new addition to the FUTTIES promotional event, in the form of a new 'Premium FUTTIES' card. Check out everything you need to know about it below.

Premium FUTTIES Cards

As leaked by reliable FIFA source FUTSheriff - here is the information on the Premium FUTTIES cards supposedly coming to FIFA 22.

As stated in the Tweet, these cards work differently from regular items and in fact have the same chemistry system as Hero items, which obtain a strong link to whatever League they are in.

This is massive as it provides so much more when making squads, as chemistry links can be so much more easily obtained.

The Tweet also suggests that they will be available via Squad Building Challenges (SBCs) and via objectives, which follows the trends of many promos previously.

It is unbeknown to us at the moment who these Premium FUTTIES players will be, or how they will be decided. But one thing is for sure, this is an exciting revelation in FIFA history as a card type with a different chemistry system has never been introduced into the game at a later stage.

If correct - this will mean we now have three individual types of cards in the game that haven't different chemistry systems to regular items - Icons, Heroes and now Premium FUTTIES. Will EA implement any more cards like this before FIFA 23?
