Official advertising has commenced for WWE’s 2022 Extreme Rules pay-per-view event, set to take place on October 8 at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, United States. The official poster displays an array of star names, featuring the likes of Becky Lynch, Seth Rollins, Bobby Lashley, Drew McIntyre, Rhea Ripley and Riddle.Roman Reigns, however, who re-signed with WWE in May, is not featured after penning a deal with fewer contractual appearances.Reigns’ diminishing displays for the organisation has been a major topic of discussion amongst WWE fans since he unified the WWE and Universal Championships back at WrestleMania 38. With ‘The Tribal Chief’ still yet to defend his throne on pay-per-view, the WWE has now gone three consecutive pay-per-view cards without featuring a world championship clash for the first time since 2014.

Regardless, fans can look forward to Reigns returning to action soon, with SummerSlam approaching this month and substantial rumours that he will be facing Drew McIntyre at Clash at the Castle in September.

With supporters anxious over Reigns’ future in professional wrestling, the star released a cryptic promo video for social media after WrestleMania Backlash, pondering: “What if that’s the last six-man tag you ever see the Bloodline do?”

He continued to confuse fans, saying: “Y’all are freaking out right now. Don’t worry, The Tribal Chief loves you. I’m not going anywhere. Unless I am, who knows? What if that’s the last one?”

Whether Reigns continues to provide stellar showings for years to come remains to be seen, but for now, wrestling fanatics can look forward to his immediate return in the very near future.
