GiveMeSport transfer expert Dean Jones provides another big update...

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel needs to become totally convinced over the level of Armando Broja in the coming days or he will be sold and replaced.

Chelsea currently consider that Raheem Sterling and Kai Havertz are reliable figures but will need better back-up in supplying goals for the team next season.

Broja is now joining their US tour and is in a battle to determine his future. If he does well in the coming sessions and games - with Club America, Charlotte and Arsenal fixtures all in the space of a week - then he will be given an opportunity to become part of the attack. But if he falls short of the standard required, Chelsea are set to decide they can not gamble on him as it could leave them out of the Premier League title race early.

There is a temptation for them to sign a more established player - hence the links to Cristiano Ronaldo and Robert Lewandowski. Tuchel is far from convinced on the Ronaldo idea, particularly, yet Todd Boehly is believed to be more open-minded.

Raphinha’s move to Barcelona further complicates Chelsea’s transfer window plans as they weigh up moves for the likes of AC Milan’s Rafael Leao or Bayern Munich’s Serge Gnabry instead.

Interestingly, a couple of good sources are still insisting they may even join Manchester United in an attempt to sign Antony from Ajax.
