GiveMeSport transfer expert Dean Jones provides another big update...

AC Milan’s interest in Hakim Ziyech has given Chelsea an opportunity to explore the possibility of landing Rafael Leao.

As part of this summer’s strategy, we know Tuchel has the biggest say in which players would best fit into his side. And Leao, who has scored 27 goals in his Milan career, is indeed one of the men he has recommended to owner Boehly in recent weeks.

Chelsea are using the talks with Milan over a transfer of Ziyech - who will be allowed to move on this summer - as a chance to discover the terms it would take to sign Leao in return.

Sources suggest the Blues are not particularly encouraged by the information they have been given around Leao, so a deal does seem unlikely, but at the very least they do now know the figures it would take to sign him.

Ziyech is not the only Chelsea forward that will be allowed to leave. Timo Werner could also go if an appropriate offer arrives. Newcastle have shown an interest and Bayern Munich are expected to move - if Lewandowski leaves them for Barcelona.

It is worth noting tough that Werner turned Bayern down previously as he did not feel wanted enough.
