Hulk had a night to forget as his Atletico Mineiro side lost to Flamengo at the Maracana.Flamengo ran out 2-0 winners, beating Atletico Mineiro 3-2 on aggregate in their Copa do Brasil round of 16 tie.Hulk played the 90 minutes but was unable to help his side qualify for the quarter-finals with Atletico Mineiro failing to have a single shot on target during the match. But the 35-year-old striker worked hard during the game.So much so that he lost six kilos during the game due to dehydration. What you don't want when you've lost a match is to be called into the anti-doping control room. This is a regular check that happens after professional matches, requiring the player to give a urine sample to test for banned substances. However, that's easy said than done when you're so dehydrated. And due to Hulk's exhaustion, it took FOUR HOURS to give a sample! We'll let Hulk tell the story...

Hulk's anti-doping nightmare

"Since I arrived at Atlético Mineiro, that was the game in which I was the most dehydrated. Today I lost six kilos," he said after the game, per Marca.

"It was exhausting. I was tired. I started the match with 97 kilos and finished it with 91.

"I fell into the anti-doping test. I was there for four hours, I drank 30 litres of water. But it was hard for me to urinate. In the end, it worked and now I just want to get home."

THIRTY LITRES OF WATER!? Surely Hulk is exaggerating a bit there...

But Hulk's night got even worse.

Of course, his Atletico Mineiro squad weren't going to wait around for four hours after being knocked out of the competition so left to catch their plane without him.

It left Hulk having to get a private jet back to Belo Horizonte.

We've all had bad days at work but maybe not quite as bad as this one...

Hulk and Atletico Mineiro will turn their attention back to Serie A action where they sit fourth in the league, just two points off Palmeiras at the top. In fact, the top six clubs are separated by just three points in what appears set to be an enthralling title race.

And Hulk shows no signs of slowing down. Recently, we brought you a video of his incredibly powerful free-kick against Santos that smashed the crossbar.

While that may not have found the back of net, he's scored 23 goals in 30 appearances in all competitions for Atletico Mineiro.

Prolific on the football pitch. Just not in the anti-doping control room...
