Football Manager 2023 is one of the most anticipated games of the year, particularly on PC.

Sports Interactive have followed an annual release schedule since the release of Football Manager 2005 so fans can feel confident that there will be another game coming this year.

One of the most enjoyable aspects of buying the new game is seeing all of the latest transfers being implemented at every team across the world.

But which transfers have caught the eye the most and will change the landscape of FM23, as compared to FM22?

Be warned: A number of your favourite wonderkids have already been snapped up!

We’ve looked at five of the most intriguing transfers ahead of FM23.

Darwin Nunez to Liverpool

This one stings.

The Portugal international has been a brilliant wonderkid in recent years on Football Manager but was snapped up by Liverpool in the summer transfer window.

It means he will be playing Premier League football, and he’ll be next to impossible to sign as well.

Unless you’re a Reds fan, this one is going to hurt.

Karim Adeyemi to Borussia Dortmund

The Erling Haaland replacement. We would have put Haaland on this list after his move to Manchester City but it’s a bit obvious!

Adeyemi was hidden away at RB Salzburg but often develops into an absolute demon in the game, and you used to be able to sign him for a relatively reasonable fee.

Now, though, he’s moved to the German giants and will be off the market for at least a couple of summers.

You’ll have to look elsewhere for a striker.

Aurelien Tchouameni to Real Madrid

Still just 22, the Frenchman has moved to the Spanish giants from AS Monaco.

He was an excellent midfield option for top clubs in FM22 but he’s now safely in the hands of the Liga heavyweights.

You can scratch him off your shortlist as a result, as there’s precious little chance of him moving on any time soon.

Xavi Simons to PSV Eindhoven

Simons has been a wonderkid for PSG for some time now and the Dutch club have snapped him up.

It’s a really interesting signing as Simons is still just 19, and he’ll be off the market for a season or two.

But it does feel as though he could be obtained eventually, particularly if you’re a Premier League club flush with cash!

Ryan Gravenberch to Bayern Munich

Gravenberch is one of the best midfield wonderkids in recent Football Manager games, often developing into one of the finest players in the world.

But Bayern have snatched him away from Ajax and look set to build their team around him for the next decade.

He won’t be moving to your club any time soon, then, unless you decide to manage the Bavarian giants!
