Leeds United could still move for ‘another winger’ in what remains of the current transfer window, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke.

The Whites have been one of the most active sides in the opening weeks of the summer and could yet make further additions to Jesse Marsch’s first-team squad.

What is the latest news involving Leeds?

Leeds have seen former talisman Raphinha depart the club this month following a hugely successful two-year stay in west Yorkshire.

The Brazil international has completed a £55 million switch to Catalan giants Barcelona, but Marsch had already added to his options out wide before sanctioning his sale.

Luis Sinisterra became Leeds’ sixth signing of the summer when his completed a move from Feyenoord for an undisclosed fee, signing a five-year contract upon his arrival.

However, although the Colombia international is capable of playing on either flank, he has predominantly featured on the left-hand side throughout his career, meaning a direct replacement for Raphinha may still be required.

And Leeds could also face a struggle to keep hold of Jack Harrison, with the Daily Mail revealing that Newcastle United are prepared to offer £20m for his services.

What has O’Rourke said about Leeds?

Marsch also has Dan James to call upon when it comes to wingers, although the Wales international also largely lined up either on the left-wing or through the middle last season.

Therefore, O’Rourke has refused to rule out Leeds making another attacking acquisition while also trying to retain the services of Harrison.

He told GiveMeSport: “I wouldn't rule it out, Leeds moving for another winger. They've got the speculation surrounding Jack Harrison's future as well, so they'll be looking to ensure that he doesn't leave.”

Who could Leeds sign?

French outlet FootMercato have disclosed that Leeds are ‘very attentive to the situation’ of PSV Eindhoven’s Cody Gakpo.

The 23-year-old registered 21 goals and 15 assists in 46 appearances for the Eredivisie giants last season, firing his side to the Dutch Cup.

Meanwhile, transfer insider Dean Jones has previously informed GMS that Noa Lang of Club Brugge is another target to look out for.

Lang has revealed that Leeds made a ‘concrete’ approach for him last summer and that he is set to leave the Belgian outfit after racking up 52 goal contributions in 85 outings for them.

Ryan Kent of Rangers is another long-term target dating back to Marcelo Bielsa’s time at the helm and he could be available for transfer due to the fact his contract is set to expire in 12 months’ time.
