Cristiano Ronaldo's future looks to be away from Manchester United.

United had a dismal 2021/22 season as they finished sixth in the Premier League and failed to qualify for the Champions League.

Despite United's woes, the Portuguese forward was in fine form last campaign, scoring 24 goals in 38 games at club level.

Now 37, Ronaldo knows he hasn't got many years left at the top level.

So, with Ronaldo being as ambitious and as hungry as ever, it has been widely reported that he wants to leave the club in search of Champions League football.

Despite Ronaldo still being one of the best strikers in the world, interest in acquiring his services hasn't exactly been rife.

In fact, ESPN reported earlier this week that PSG, Bayern Munich and Chelsea have all rejected rhe chance to sign him this summer.

Spartak Moscow's Twitter account has now mocked Ronaldo in a truly savage post with his future still unclear.

In January 2021, with Lionel Messi's future at Barcelona unclear, Spartak posted a photoshopped tweet which saw the Argentine abruptly rebuffing their advances.

"Hi, Leo!" Spartak 'direct messaged' Messi, only for the legendary footballer to reply "No." Spartak were gutted as they wrote "Pain" alongside the tweet.

18 months on from that tweet, Spartak decided to copy that format with Ronaldo's future up in the air.

However, the roles were reversed this time.

A photoshopped image shows Ronaldo saying "Hi, Spartak!" Only for the Russian club to immediately reply "No."

Alongside the photoshopped image, Spartak commented: "Pain again. But not for us this time."

Absolute brutal from Spartak. Their tweet has gone viral, having attracted over 16k retweets at the time of writing and rapidly rising. View some reaction below...

The disrespect is real from Spartak. To mock arguably the greatest player of all-time is audacious to say the least.

Also, would they really turn down Ronaldo if the opportunity presented himself?

You'd have to say they wouldn't. Yes, Ronaldo isn't the same player he used to be, but he still possesses ridiculous ability despite being in his late 30s.

And we doubt very much that Ronaldo would even consider signing for them, anyway.
