Newcastle United have "enquired" about signing Everton's Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Brentford's Ivan Toney, according to CBS reporter Ben Jacobs.
At the prices they have been quoted at, though, Jacobs has suggested that deals this summer could be too expensive.

What is the latest news involving Calvert-Lewin and Toney?
The Sun recently reported that Newcastle are weighing up a move for their former player Toney.
It comes after they missed out on Hugo Ekitike, who has just joined Paris Saint-Germain after the Magpies pulled out of a deal to sign the 20-year-old.
As for Calvert-Lewin, he has also been linked with a switch to St James' Park, and earlier in the month, the MailOnline claimed that the England striker was looking for a move away from Everton this summer.
With the Merseyside club having already sold Richarlison, though, they are likely to be reluctant to part ways with Calvert-Lewin in the same transfer window.
What has Jacobs said about Calvert-Lewin, Toney and Newcastle?
Jacobs has told GIVEMESPORT that Newcastle have asked about signing Calvert-Lewin and Toney and have been informed that the two English forwards will cost £60m and £50m respectively.
Speaking to GMS, the CBS reporter said: "Newcastle have enquired on Dominic Calvert-Lewin, but Everton are reluctant to sell and the 60 million price tag is pretty high.
"Ivan Toney won’t happen unless Brentford significantly drop their valuation. Newcastle already enquired and were put off by the 50 million asking price."
Which other strikers have Newcastle been linked with?
With up front not being the strongest area in Newcastle's squad, it is not a surprise to see several strikers being linked to the Magpies.
As well as Calvert-Lewin and Toney, Real Sociedad's Alexander Isak is another name the Premier League outfit are thought to have looked at.
According to The Telegraph, however, they have cooled their interest in the Sweden international due to the transfer fee and wages being demanded.
There has been talk about Chelsea youngster Armando Broja, too, but West Ham appear to be the side who are pushing for his signature the most.
It remains to be seen who Newcastle end up with but, given Callum Wilson's injury problems and Chris Wood's lack of goals last term, Eddie Howe could really do with the arrival of a new No.9 at St James' Park.
It will now be interesting to see if any new names come up, with the likes of Calvert-Lewin, Toney and Isak seemingly too expensive for the Magpies' liking.
