Tottenham need to get Tanguy Ndombele "out of the door" before September's deadline, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.

The France international, who hasn't played for the north Londoners since January, spent the second half of last season at Lyon and doesn't appear to have a future under Antonio Conte.

What's the latest news involving Ndombele?

Ndombele is back at Hotspur Way following his loan spell in France, but his situation hasn't changed.

After making just a handful of appearances under Conte from November onwards, the midfielder was loaned back to Lyon in order to increase his game-time.

However, Ndombele wasn't included in the squad that travelled to South Korea for the club's pre-season tour after being left at home along with Sergio Reguilon, Harry Winks and Giovani Lo Celso.

The Athletic revealed that Conte is only interested in working with players who are part of his plans moving forward, which confirms that Ndombele will be moved on once again in some capacity before the window closes.

And Jones reckon Tottenham need to get Ndombele, who's played 91 times across his three years in English football, "out of the door".

What did Jones say about Ndombele?

When asked what he expects to happen with the Frenchman, he told GIVEMESPORT: "Let's be honest, there's not a huge market out there to sign Ndombele.

"So, Tottenham's hard work now is working on finding him a home next season, even if that's on loan, they need to get him out of the door."

Where could Ndombele end up?

As ever with the midfielder, moving him is turning out to be easier said than done.

Not only does Ndombele currently earn £200,000 per-week, which is hard for any club to justify paying him, but he's done little of note across the last 18 months.

One club that could afford his wages is PSG, with Mundo Deportivo reporting that the French capital is a potential option this summer. The report states that Ndombele is now worth around £32m, which is almost exactly half of what Spurs paid Lyon back in 2019.

But just like in January, a loan deal would appear the most likely outcome for Ndombele, who's not performed consistently enough in recent years to convince anyone he's worthy of a permanent deal.
