West Ham are in advanced talks with Chelsea over a move for Armando Broja, according to transfer Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth.

The Hammers have been desperately trying to sign a striker for the last three transfer windows and Sheth believes that David Moyes is finally on the verge of landing his man in the Albanian star.

What's the latest news involving Broja?

According to Sky Sports, West Ham have put forward a £30m offer for the 20-year-old, who recently flew back from the US to discuss a move to the London Stadium.

Broja wasn't included in the Blues squad for their game with Club America last Saturday and has only ever made one appearance for the Stamford Bridge club.

The report states that West Ham are prepared to pay £25m up front for the youngster, who's also wanted by Southampton, Newcastle, and Everton.

Broja caught the eye during his loan spell with Saints last season, scoring nine goals in league and cup, one of which came against Moyes' side.

And his form performances have clearly convinced the Scot to pursue a deal, with Broja on course to become the club's fourth summer arrival after Alphonse Areola, Nayef Aguerd and Flynn Downes.

What did Sheth say about Broja?

He told GIVEMESPORT: "The striker is a real priority position for them, and Armando Broja looks like one that is edging closer.

"Positive talks are continuing and they're at an advanced stage between West Ham and Chelsea."

Is Broja a good signing for West Ham?

Broja might have just one season of Premier League experience under his belt, but he's already shown signs of a potential top player.

In 38 appearances across all competitions, Broja found the net nine times and assisted once for Saints, which was a very decent return considering it was his first full season in English football.

But Broja's ability to compete is what makes him an exciting prospect, plus the fact he clearly knows where the goal is.

His work clearly wasn't going unnoticed, either, with Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel highlighting his physical attributes back in January.

"Armando is getting better and better. He is a very unique player with some very unique strengths in his game – his speed, he's robust and he's a goalscorer," said the German.

If Broja can continue where he left off on the South Coast, he could prove an instant hit with the London Stadium faithful.
