WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry has recalled an incident with Brock Lesnar, which left Henry on the shelf and Lesnar fearing he’d lose his job.

Henry and Lesnar are two of the most powerful stars to ever grace a WWE ring, and the former world champion has revealed a scuffle that took place between the pair outside of the ropes.

Speaking to Bill Apter in an interview for Sportskeeda, Henry talked about an incident when the pair clashed during the time they were in WWE together.

The story goes that at the time Lesnar considered himself ‘unbeatable’ and challenged Henry to a shoot match. Unfortunately, the ‘match’ didn’t exactly work out, with Lesnar injuring Henry after charging at him with a double-leg takedown – leaving Brock fearing for his job.

He shot from about six feet away and went to my ankle and he put both hands behind my ankle and his shoulder in my knee, and hyper extended my knee. And I was out for like six to seven weeks. And I was just on the ground like, ‘oh my god’, and he was like ‘you’re hurt’ and I was like, ‘damn, I can’t move and he was like, he’s like, ‘they’re gonna fire me.’ I said ‘no, they not gonna fire you, they gonna fire me.'

The 51-year-old went on to say that the two stars were able to brush the moment off and have a good laugh about it afterwards, but admitted Lesnar was a dangerous guy to be around.

Lesnar will be back in action later this month as he brings his epic rivalry with Roman Reigns to an end. The pair are set to clash in the main event of SummerSlam in a Last Man Standing match for Reigns’ Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
