It's not often that the Cambodian second division makes the global footballing headlines. While the likes of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Mohamed Salah and so many more monopolise the imaginations of the football public, we do, every now and then, get a moment that diverts our attention away from the grand theatres of Europe.Sometime those headlines are not necessarily good but, in this case, the limelight has quite rightly been stolen by a quite astonishing goal.Brought to us by Bruno Wellyngton Krenkel of Next Step FC , the searing strike has quickly done the round on Twitter, with fans singing its praises. The goal, which you can see in the footage below really is a special strike with Wellyngton sending two defenders for a shower, one via a naughty nutmeg, before unleashing a howitzer of a strike from long range. The ball roared past the hapless goalkeeper and quite nearly tore the net from it's rigging as it smacked into the top corner.Check it out:

Whack - pick that one out.

Unsurprisingly, the strike is already being heralded as a potential Puskas award winner and it really is difficult to argue with that claim.

The goals has the lot. It has saucy touches, brilliant skill and one of the sweetest strikes you could ever hope to see all rolled into one superb package.

When you think of some of the strikes that have won the prestigious award in the past, then it's plain to see that Wellyngton's strikes has a real chance of winning the lot.

The audacity to even think of having a go from that sort of range is next level but to then go and execute that sort of strike is quite spectacular.

There is still a long old time to run in the year but it is difficult to see anything eclipsing the superb strike from Cambodia.
