Ben Foster has made his Premier League predictions ahead of the new season.

The goalkeeper left Watford this summer and appears to be set to return to the Championship with West Brom.

He may not be a Premier League player any longer but Foster has continued with his YouTube videos and podcast throughout the summer.

And now, just a few weeks before the start of the campaign, he's predicted the entire Premier League table from 1st to 20th - and has given an explanation for all of his selections.

If anyone can predict the Premier League table before the start of the season, it's someone who has played in the top-flight for many years.

Of course, the transfer window is open until the end of August and plenty can change between now and then.

But Foster has put his reputation on the line once again by analysing each and every side.

Along with his mate Tom, Foster picks out a team at random before giving his thoughts on the club in question and predicting where they'll finish next season.

Ben Foster's Premier League table

Here's a little snippet of what Foster had to say about each club.

1st. Manchester City: "There could be a treble. I think they'll win one of the cups, the Premier League and the Champions League."

2nd. Chelsea: "Same prediction as last season."

3rd. Liverpool: "I can't see them being up there trying to win the Premier League. I just can't."

4th. Tottenham: "They've made some exciting signings and made them early doors."

5th. Arsenal: "Massive signing in Gabriel Jesus. They've been crying out for that guy for a long time."

6th. Manchester United: "I still don't think they've got enough to get top four."

7th. Leicester: "I'm still predicting a strong season from them."

8th. West Ham: "It's going to be a good season. I think top 10."

9th. Newcastle: "There's a real nice buzz about the place."

10th. Wolves: "A steady Premier League side. Top 10 but only just."

11th. Brighton: "Their manager alone is worth a few positions higher."

12th. Aston Villa: "They've got ability. I don't think they'll get top 10 though."

13th. Crystal Palace: "I think they'll have a decent year."

14th. Everton: "I don't think they'll be too disappointed with 14th."

15th. Brentford: "I don't think they're going to do as well as last season."

16th. Leeds: "I don't think they'll get relegated but it'll be a tough season for them."

17th. Fulham: "I think they're going to scrape by."

18th: Southampton: "I worry for them this season."

19th. Nottingham Forest: "It's going to be tough this season."

20th: Bournemouth: "It's going to be a tough old season. I do worry. I really, really worry."

Conclusion

So, Foster is backing Man City to win the Premier League again. Not only that but he also reckons City could win the treble - including their first ever Champions League.

Interestingly, he's gone for Chelsea rather than Liverpool as City's biggest challengers next season.

Liverpool and Spurs make up the top four in Foster's eyes as Arsenal and Manchester United miss out.

Making up the rest of the top 10 is Leicester, West Ham, Newcastle and Wolves.

Down at the bottom, Foster thinks newly promoted Bournemouth (20th) and Nottingham Forest (19th) are in for tough seasons.

However, he's included Southampton - who are preparing for their 11th consecutive season in the top-flight - in the relegation zone saying "I worry for them this season."

That means he believes Championship champions, Fulham, will "scrape by" and survive going straight back down.
