Nearly 30 years have passed since the first release of Need for Speed. Over the years and over several console generations, NFS has adopted a variety of personas and genres.
The most recent game, Heat, paid homage to the early and mid-2000s, when the game was at its height. Heat wasn’t as successful as games like Most Wanted, but it was still a step in the right direction.
Many people still want to see the Need for Speed franchise regain the fame it once enjoyed with games like Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit and Need for Speed: Most Wanted.
It remains to be seen if this new addition will live up to expectations, but it shouldn’t be too long until we learn more about how it will appear in practice. So, despite delays in its release, there are many reasons to be optimistic about the next NFS.
