Football is a simple game. Whichever team scores the most number of goals, wins the game.

Failure to score and you won't win.

As simple as that.

They say scoring a goal is the hardest part of football. That's why attackers command huge transfer fees and tend to win the individual awards.

In the Premier League, we're blessed with some of the most exciting attacking talent in world football.

That was only strengthened by the arrivals of Erling Haaland and Darwin Nunez.

But which club has the best pool of attackers in the league?

Well, we've looked at the Premier League 'Big Six' clubs and predicted their front threes ahead of the new season. What's more, we've ranked them from worst to best.

We appreciate there are still plenty of weeks remaining in the transfer window and a lot can change. But if the Premier League season was to start tomorrow, this is how we think they may line up.

So, without further ado, check out our ranking of the Premier League's 'Big Six' front threes for the 2022/23 season.

6th. Manchester United (Rashford, Sancho & Martial)

Right now, Cristiano Ronaldo's future at Man Utd is uncertain. It's clear the Portuguese superstar wants to leave the club. But, at the time of writing, no club appears capable of signing the 37-year-old.

Without Ronaldo, Erik ten Hag has been using Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Anthony Martial in pre-season and the trio have clicked. They've all been on the scoresheet during their three friendly victories so far and could actually form an exciting partnership next season.

However, we have to put them sixth in the list due to the fact they scored just eight Premier League goals between them for United last season.

5th. Arsenal (Saka, Martinelli, Jesus)

Arsenal pulled off the £45 million signing of Gabriel Jesus this summer - a signing that has excited many Gooners. The Brazilian will lead the line, while the brilliant Bukayo Saka is likely to start more games than not on the right wing.

The place on the left wing is a bit more of a decision for Mikel Arteta to make with Emile Smith Rowe providing competition. But we're giving it to Gabriel Martinelli, who can be sensational on his day.

Interestingly, Arsenal showed a lot of interest in Leeds' Raphinha before he opted for Barcelona. So the club could still be in the market for another attacker before the transfer window closes.

4th. Chelsea (Mount, Sterling, Havertz)

Chelsea's first signing in their new era was the £50 million purchase of Raheem Sterling from Manchester City. It's a brilliant acquisition that will add a new dynamic to Chelsea's attack.

Mason Mount was Chelsea's best player last season, while Kai Havertz played the False 9 role impressively towards the end of the campaign.

We're not ruling out further attacking signings at Stamford Bridge while they also have the likes of Armando Broja, Timo Werner, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech as back-up.

3rd. Tottenham (Richarlison, Son, Kane)

Spurs signed Richarlison from Everton for £60 million and it will be very interesting to see how he fits in alongside Son and Kane.

We're not quite sure ourselves but Antonio Conte will no doubt have a plan up his sleeve.

We won't be surprised if Dejan Kulusevski actually starts the season in Richarlison's place given the way in which he finished last season.

2nd. Liverpool (Salah, Diaz, Nunez)

Liverpool finished narrowly behind Man City in the Premier League last season and they finish narrowly behind them in this ranking too.

Jurgen Klopp has lost Sadio Mane this summer and replaced him with Benfica's Darwin Nunez for a club-record fee.

Will the 23-year-old striker hit the ground running? He's going to have to.

Mohamed Salah needs another big season but could be high on confidence having signed a new contract at Anfield. While we can't wait to see a full season of Luis Diaz who looked brilliant after arriving from Porto in January.

There's strength in depth too, with Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino in reserve.

1st. Manchester City (Mahrez, Foden, Haaland)

It's very difficult to second guess Pep Guardiola's team selection - especially when it comes to the attacking positions.

Julian Alvarez, Bernardo Silva and Jack Grealish will be in contention to start but we're predicting a big season for Riyad Mahrez after he signed a new contract at the Etihad. Phil Foden is only getting better and then there's Erling Haaland - who we can't wait to see play in the Premier League.

The pace, skill and directness of Mahrez, the dribbling and versatility of Foden and the sheer strength, pace and ruthlessness of Haaland will cause all sorts of problems for Premier League defences.
