We are now well into Madden 23 rating week, and more and more ratings are being revealed each day.
Ratings week comes at a good time as fans are eager to find out where their favourite players rank before the game is released on 19th August 2022.
So far, EA has revealed some serious ratings, which adds a lot of excitement to Madden 23.
In terms of excellent ratings, the most recent group highlighted are the safeties, the free safeties (FS) and the strong safeties (SS).
With that said, here’s who made EA’s list of the top ten safeties in Madden 23.
Top 10 Safeties in Madden 23
Among the most vital and versatile positions on the football field, safety is widely regarded as one of the most important.
Safety players are the last line of defence, and their objective is to ensure offensive players do not catch or run passes within their vicinity en route to a touchdown.
However, since the roles of SS and FS differ, EA released its list of the top 10 safeties and their respective ratings.
Here are the top 10 highest-rated safeties according to their official Madden 23 ratings:
1.Tyrann Mathieu (SS) – 94 OVR – New Orleans Saints
2.Derwin James Jr (SS) – 93 OVR – Los Angeles Chargers
3.Budda Baker (SS) – 92 OVR – Arizona Cardinals
4. Kevin Byard (FS) – 92 OVR – Tennessee Titans
5. Micah Hyde (FS) – 91 OVR – Buffalo Bills
6. Justin Simmons (FS) – 91 OVR – Denver Broncos
7. Jessie Bates III (FS) – 90 OVR – Cincinnati Bengals
8. Jordan Poyer (SS) – 90 OVR – Buffalo Bills
9. Harrison Smith (SS) – 90 OVR – Minnesota Vikings
10. Jamal Adams (SS) – 90 OVR – Seattle Seahawks
Overall, Tyrann Mathieu ranks 94th, one point above Derwin James Jr. and two points above Budda Baker.
At the same time, Kevin Byard, who is tied with Baker for third overall, will be rated as the best free safety with an overall rating of 92 for Madden 23.

With that said, near the end of Madden 23 ratings week, we can expect more official ratings, possibly from quarterbacks. We’d simply have to wait and see.
Now that we know the ratings, the upcoming game in memory of the late John Madden will undoubtedly bring the heat. The game will be released globally for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and PC.
