Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is ‘pretty satisfied’ with the club’s transfer dealings this summer, according to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth.

The Reds have bolstered their options in attack and defence so far in the current window, and it seems as though that could be where their business ends.

What is the latest news involving Liverpool?

Striker Darwin Nunez joined from Benfica in a club-record £85 million deal last month, signing a six-year contract after bagging 34 goals in 41 appearances throughout 2021/22.

The Uruguay international has joined attacking midfielder Fabio Carvalho and full-back Calvin Ramsey, who have arrived from Fulham and Aberdeen, respectively, as Liverpool’s new recruits.

However, the Anfield outfit have also been streamlining their first-team squad, offloading wantaway Sadio Mane and a host of fringe players.

Fans’ favourite Divock Origi, Takumi Minamino, Neco Williams and Ben Davies have all departed after growing frustrated at a lack of game time, sparking a new era in the red half of Merseyside.

Liverpool missed out on the signature of midfielder Aurélien Tchouameni to Real Madrid earlier in the window, though, indicating Klopp could still be in the market for a new engine room operator.

What has Sheth said about Liverpool?

After being asked if Liverpool’s focus is now on outgoings, Sheth informed GiveMeSport that there ‘might not be any more’ exits ahead of the September 1 deadline.

In an interview with GMS, he said: “It seems that way, but even with the outgoings, there might not be any more.

“I think Jurgen Klopp is pretty satisfied with the business that they've done, and the speed at which they've done that business. They've effectively got everything sorted ahead of their pre-season, and they'll just be gelling, I guess.”

Who could depart Liverpool?

A recent report from Liverpool ECHO revealed that Klopp’s charges have placed a £15m price tag on centre-back Nathaniel Phillips, who enjoyed a productive loan spell at Bournemouth last term.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is another player tipped to seek pastures new, with The Mirror claiming Aston Villa and West Ham United are on ‘red alert’ over his availability.

The England international only has one year remaining on his current contract and could seek more regular game time in what is the peak years of his career.

Only time will tell if Klopp does sanction more of a clear-out or settles for what he’s got, but it seems as though most of Liverpool’s transfer dealing have already been completed.
