After reports surfaced suggesting that he walked out of TV filming earlier in the day, WWE legend Brock Lesnar stunned the WWE Universe when he appeared on SmackDown last night.

Reports hinted that Lesnar was noticeably disgruntled by the news of Vince McMahon’s retirement announcement. According to the rumours, Brock walked out of the venue, with uncertainties surrounding his return.

Despite it all, Brock appeared on Friday night’s instalment of WWE SmackDown, confronting Theory after a six-man tag bout.

During the segment, Lesnar gave the 2022 Money in the Bank briefcase winner two devastating F5s, putting a close to the show.

Reports from Fightful, as per ewrestlingnews, suggested that the situation that led to Brock’s departure had been completely “overblown” but the magnitude of the fallout led to changes in the script as WWE staff were unsure of if or when Lesnar would return.

Brock was due to appear early doors on Friday night’s WWE SmackDown, but he was absent during the entirety of the opening segment.

The script to the final segment of the show was left open if Brock was to return.

The main event of the evening saw Madcap Moss and The Street Profits defeat Theory and Usos by disqualification. Theory was penalised for using the briefcase to throttle Moss, continuing to do so after the bell sounded.

The barrage of blows continued until The Beast Incarnate walked in.

Lesnar made his approach with a big smile on his face and ended Theory’s fun by kicking him to bring him down.

Brock then dropped Theory with his famous F5, then followed it up with more briefcase shots and a second F5 for good measure.

After all of the commotion, Lesnar raised the briefcase into the air with a wry smile, and a loud cheer from the rowdy audience.

Despite plenty of backstage drama, Lesnar is still scheduled to challenge Roman Reigns at WWE SummerSlam on July 30.
