Last season, Kylian Mbappe was playing football from another planet.Overall, Paris Saint-Germain had a fairly lacklustre season. They may have won Ligue 1, but failed to get their hands on any other domestic trophies and were knocked out of the Champions League in the last-16 by Real Madrid. But while those around him weren't at the peak of their powers, Mbappe was among the finest performers on the planet. In 46 appearances across all competitions, the French superstar scored 39 goals and assisted his teammates on 26 occasions. That means he was averaging 1.41 goal contributions per outing, which is quite frankly ridiculous. It's no wonder PSG fans were ecstatic when he signed a new contract, is it?They'll be hoping Mbappe can finally bring the Champions League trophy to Paris in 2022/23 and he already looks in red hot form during PSG's pre-season tour of Japan.Kylian Mbappe in action with PSGSAITAMA, JAPAN - JULY 23: Kylian Mbappe of Paris Sait-Germain thumbs up during the preseason friendly between Paris Saint-Germain and Urawa Red Diamonds at Saitama Stadium on July 23, 2022 in Saitama, Japan. Mbappe just makes football look way too easy, doesn't he?

Trying to stop him looks anything but fun and plenty of teams better than Urawa Red Diamonds will find that out the hard way next season.

PSG now have just one more game remaining of their tour of Japan, which is against Gamba Osaka on Monday morning UK time.

After that, the team jet back to France and start preparation for the Trophee des Champions final (the French equivalent of the Community Shield) against Nantes on July 31st.

Galtier's star-studded side, which includes the likes of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Sergio Ramos, will commence their league campaign the following week away at Clermont Foot.

PSG will be expected to retain their Ligue 1 crown with relative ease, but the manager and players will be far more concerned about the Champions League.

If they flatter to deceive on the European stage once again after spending yet more money in the transfer market, serious questions will be asked...
