Paddy Pimblett reacted with joy as his friend Molly McCann produced yet another sensational knockout at UFC London.

McCann stunned the crowd at the O2 Arena by knocking out American Hannah Goldy in the first round.

She did so with yet another spinning back elbow, having already pulled off the move against Brazil’s Luana Carolina in March.

It was the 13th victory of McCann’s career, with the 32-year-old further enhancing her reputation with another formidable performance.

“I will not let you down,” McCann said. “Have you ever seen lightning strike twice, well now you have! I’ve committed to my game.”

Pimblett was jubilant as he watched McCann triumph before his own battle against Jordan Leavitt.

He was captured jumping up and down in delight, before screaming “come on” at the camera.

The 27-year-old then entered the Octagon himself, beating Leavitt by submission in the second round.

Pimblett dedicated the victory to his friend who took his own life just two days ago, urging anyone who was struggling with their own mental health to seek help.

“There’s a stigma in this world that men can’t talk,” he said.

“Listen, if you’re a man, and you’ve got weight on your shoulders, and you think the only way you can solve it is killing yourself, please speak to someone.”

It was clearly an emotional night for Pimblett, who managed his 19th career win.

The victories for McCann and Pimblett meant rapper Drake took home $3.7 million (£3.1m).

A long-time UFC fan, the Canadian put an astonishing $2.3m (£1.9m) on both McCann and Pimblett to triumph.
