The best Bahrain setup to get you straight on the podium in F1 22

With all the customisable options in EA Sports' latest creation, it can be confusing to work out just what the best setup is. Especially, as it will be slightly different for every player and their unique driving style, similar to the likes of Lewis Hamilton, Charles Leclerc, George Russell, and Fernando Alonso - not to mention the amount of time it takes to test all the options. Luckily, by using this Bahrain setup in F1 22 you don't have to!

Bahrain is the first circuit of the season so it’s the one players will face first in F1 22. A staple of Formula 1 since 2004, it sees the drivers deal with the dangers of wind as they race under the floodlights.

Watch out for the off-camber Turn 10 which will look to catch new and old virtual drivers out. However, if you can nail it you will be rewarded with a straight to speed away from your competitors. With four decently sized straights, Bahrain offers lots of overtaking opportunities.

Anyway, that's enough talk! Scroll down to find out the best setup for the Bahrain circuit in F1 22.

This F1 22 Bahrain setup has been provided thanks to Simracingsetups. Here is the preset that he has come up with:

Aerodynamics

Aerodynamics control the levels of downforce on your car. Higher wing angles produce more downforce which improves grip. However, this also increases drag which can dramatically reduce your straight-line speed. In the end, it's all about balance.

Front Wing Aero: 22

Rear Wing Aero: 25

Transmission

Transmission refers to the amount of power that is transmitted to the rear wheels of the car. It can be unlocked or locked. Locked means that both driven wheels rotate at the same speed whereas unlocked allows them to rotate at different speeds. An open setup can mean less tyre wear and a more gradual transition of traction loss. A more locked setup can cause an advantage in outright traction.

Differential Adjustment On Throttle: 88

Differential Adjustment Off Throttle: 58

Suspension Geometry

Suspension Geometry refers to the positioning of the tyres. This affects where the tyres make contact with the road and can affect grip, tyre wear, stability and turning response.

Front Camber: -2.5

Rear Camber: -1.8

Front Toe: 0.05

Rear Toe: 0.2

Suspension

Suspension controls the stability of the car during the race. It can affect speed, responsiveness and traction.

Front Suspension: 9

Rear Suspension: 3

Front Anti-Roll Bar: 9

Rear Anti-Roll Bar: 3

Front Ride Height: 3

Rear Ride Height: 4

Brakes

The brakes control your ability to stop. The higher the brake pressure is the shorter your stopping distance but the easier it also is to lock up. Likewise, higher front brake bias makes your stopping distance a little shorter but makes it much easier to lock up and can lead to understeer. The reverse is true for rearward brake bias.

Brake Pressure: 100

Brake Bias: 52

Tyres

Softer tyres improve traction at the cost of responsiveness in higher load situations. Higher tyre pressure can reduce rolling resistance giving a slight increase in straight line speed. However, it also contributes to higher tyre temperatures.

Front Right Tyre Pressure: 23.3

Front Left Tyre Pressure: 23.3

Rear Right Tyre Pressure: 22.5

Rear Left Tyre Pressure: 22.5

Practice

Once you’ve got your car set up make sure to make the most of your practice laps so that you are fully prepared for your race. Also, whilst this setup is good it may not be perfect for your particular driving style so don’t be afraid to use it as a base and tweak it to better fit you.

Next up will be the setup for your second race at the Jeddah Corniche circuit. Use our best F1 22 Bahrain setup to nail your first race and put yourself in line for some great upgrades.
