Molly McCann enjoyed another show-stopping victory on Saturday night when she defeated Hannah Goldy at UFC London.

Meatball is currently tied on her best ever UFC streak, having won three consecutive matches. One more big night inside the octagon could see her set a new personal win record.

Having beat Ji Yeon Kim, Luana Carolina and now Goldy, the Scouse fighter has her eye on the big leagues.

Following her win at UFC London 2022, McCann revealed why she is angled for a meeting with Antonina Shevchenko, sister of flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko.

"I never call anyone out, that’s not for me to do, but when you talk about legacy, prestige, honour, who’s the best in the game? It’s Valentina."

Indeed, Bullet is currently ranked number one in the UFC women's pound-for-pound rankings. She defeated Joanna Jędrzejczyk at UFC 231 in 2018 to claim the flyweight title and has held it ever since.

She boasts a 23-3-0 MMA record and is a nine-time IFMA World Muaythai Champion.

McCann has certainly set her sights on challenging the great Shevchenko but she wants to ensure she is prepared for such an occasion.

"Am I Valentina-ready yet? No, come on," she said. "Am I Antonina-ready? Let’s see. I believe I am.

"This isn’t like a diss, but I genuinely think this is an amazing fight to have and I know if they do one fight camp for me, if I ever make it to Shevchenko, they’ll have the blueprint.

"But I’ll also have the blueprint because I’ll know how to beat her sister. So with the greatest respect, I’ve said her name because I think she’s the best."

Antonina (10-4-0) was last in action earlier this month at UFC on ESPN 39, where she beat Cortney Casey via unanimous decision.

Meatball's latest victory was courtesy of another brutal spinning back elbow, which put away Goldy in the first round.

With her form only continuing to improve, she is more confident than ever.

"What I can tell you is I had a lot more faith in myself. I believed in myself more. I believe it’s my time to be where I’m supposed to be. I believe I’ve learned all the lessons that I’m supposed to have learned."
