Football Manager 2023 is on the way.

The newest entry into the long-running football management franchise has yet to be announced but the game has forever followed an annual release schedule and it is incredibly unlikely that will change this year.

After all, FM22 has sold over a million copies, and FM23 is almost certain to follow.

We don’t have a release date yet but it is incredibly likely that a reveal is coming soon enough, and as a result, we’ve taken a stab at predicting the five biggest transfer budgets in the game.

While there are multiple ways of playing FM, there’s always something to be said for starting with loads of money and building a super team, after all.

Predicting the five biggest transfer budgets in FM23

Backed by the Qatari state, PSG have a number of absolutely world-class stars, including Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi, and Neymar.

It is almost certain there will be plenty of funds for you to improve the squad and try to finally win that elusive Champions League trophy.

Manchester United

The Premier League is comfortably the richest in the world, and while United may have struggled on the pitch in recent years, they always have plenty of cash to splash.

That is unlikely to change this year.

Bayern Munich

Bayern are the dominant force in German football and they always have the kind of cash reserves that allow them to snaffle up the best homegrown talent and continue dominating.

We expect Bayern to have plenty of funds this year.

Manchester City

Well, yeah.

It’s City, and they have one of the richest ownerships in world football, although it’s difficult to know what they can do, having signed Erling Haaland and Kalvin Phillips already this summer.

Newcastle United

They had £200m in FM22, prior to the January patch.

They may have spent big in the January window, but they will surely be given plenty of funds once again in order to strengthen their squad.
